Finding the Road

I treasure many moments on life's path that have brought me to where I am today. As a child, singing around a fire at summer camp, then walking back to my cabin in the dark with the stars winking above. Wandering in the wild park near my home, looking for silverberry bushes. Later on, learning what to weed and what to nurture in the vegetable garden at an ashram. Lying on the warm floor of a Zen temple at three in the morning, listening to practitioners chanting and bowing for the sixth straight hour. Sitting on the edge of a lake, at the base of a great mountain listening to the wind whistle. The thread that runs throughout these moments in time was experiencing a connection to the world around me that brought me balance, happiness and well-being.
I have been very fortunate to meet some generous and benevolent teachers. Some said, "WAKE UP!" Others said, "Relax..". Some said, "Drink tea." Others said, "Listen to the plants." All have pointed to a gentle middle way, a path marked by compassion for myself and for all beings.
In 2009 I met my life's teacher, Jaki Daniels. I have been an apprentice of Jaki's since then and in 2011 began training in Five Element Healing.
I am very grateful to my teachers; the two legged ones, the four-legged ones, the winged ones, the plants and the elements.
